Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) programmes
There are 2 streams of B.Voc. courses offered at ATDC:
- B.Voc. in Fashion Design and Retail
- B.Voc. in Apparel Manufacturing and Entrepreneurship (AME)
Regular full-time B.Voc. Programmes are jointly offered by Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD) and ATDC. B.Voc. in Apparel Manufacturing and Entrepreneurship (AME) and B.Voc. in Fashion Design and Retail (FDR) address the knowledge and skillsets that are required to make the candidates industry-ready.

3 years (6 Semester in a modular format)
Credits – 150 credits / 3000 Hours of teaching at ATDC- Skill Knowledge Providers (SKPs)
Eligibility:
10+2 from a recognized board or equivalent in any discipline
Selection Procedure:
The candidates will be selected based on performance in screening tests / interviews
Employment opportunities in the apparel and fashion industry
The apparel industry is one of the fast-growing industries in terms of employment chances. Many youths are passionate to build their career in this industry and are getting trained in entry-level, mid-level and supervisory skills in the apparel industry. This shows that the fashion and apparel industry is providing jobs and is an aspirational career amongst the youth.
The B.Voc. degree was conceived by UGC to offer a regular degree along with adding a skill component to it. This helps you to be employable after completion of the three-year degree programme. ATDC had students who have successfully graduated with B.Voc. degrees and are now employed in well-known fashion studio and in retail, where as some of them have explored the entrepreneurial side of the industry. The B.Voc. curriculum has definitely equipped the students with industry requirements and enabled them to explore their true potential.
Learn and Earn
In this B.Voc. programme, you can either visit the industry in the first two semesters or do an internship every semester with the industry. Once you complete the internship and come back, you will have clarity regarding how the industry works.
At the end of the final year, you will be offered a stipend. ATDC also provides merit-based scholarships to deserving candidates. They also have many companies in apparel coming together in supporting B.Voc. students.
