We are all individually equipped with great potential. When we bring those unique qualities together through celebrations, events, summits, our combined strength is undeniable. Year 2019 had a lot of action which brought together the entire skill ecosystem. As year 2020 is fast approaching, it is essential to look back at what happened in the year 2019, so we can move into the new year with fresh insights and an optimistic mindset.

Kemppi’s National Best Welder competitions catalyses new professional avenues for women in welding
Kemppi India in association with the Indian Institute of Welding organized National Best Welder Competition for Women 2019. A couple of decades ago, women in welding was a rare phenomenon. Though Indian welding industry always welcomed women to enter the professional arena of welding, the notions associated with welding as not-so-suitable job for women never encouraged most of them to get into this field. The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) organised Global Skills Summit (GSS) on 19th and 20th of September at FICCI Federation House, New Delhi. The theme of this year’s GSS was “India – The Skill Capital: Making it happen”.
