- IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation has partnered with the SWAYAM Plus initiative of the Ministry of Education to launch a short-term training program in the semiconductor industry for students and graduates.
- The Centre’s PM Vishwakarma Yojana has received 2.58 crore applications, with 23.75 lakh artisans registered for benefits after verification, NSDC reports.
- CBSE-affiliated schools will launch the Sankalp program, in partnership with MSDE, to introduce new skill development courses for students in classes 6 to 8, focusing on industry-relevant skills.
- MSDE has urged all states and UTs to encourage ITI graduates to participate in the Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme.
- MSDE has reconstituted the Central Apprenticeship Council for three years, with Jayant Chaudhary as chair and Vikramjit Singh Sahney as vice-chair.
- NSDC and TCS iON have signed an MoU to launch National Proficiency Tests, offering industry-recognized certifications to enhance skills and employability across India.
