Telangana Academy of Skill and Knowledge (TASK) has come up with various programs to improve the employability quotient of the students of Telangana. In collaboration with technology MNCs like SAP, Oracle, CISCO, Autodesk, IBM , Salesforce , Certiport and Samsung, TASK has been offering innovative training programs for skill-based certification in urban and rural regions of Telangana.

As a major step towards reaching more students, colleges and hiring organizations, TASK has recently launched a mobile app that is compliant with Android and iOS devices. Since smart phones have become ubiquitous and we see every student becoming a power user of mobile apps that help in day-today transactions like banking, education, jobs, communication and shopping.

TASK mobile app Highlights of the TASK mobile app

  • TASK mobile app uses a simple interface to provide access to all the information available on the website, with anytime, anywhere access.
  • The app functions offline as well, as it needs Internet connectivity only for installation and upgrades.
  • The dashboard presents all features and offerings from TASK as available on the website.
  • The intuitive user interface makes it easier for the user to find the desired information quickly.
  • The app helps the users stay connected with instant updates, interactivity and options for personalization.
The speed at which smart phones are penetrating different user segments in India is simply overwhelming! We decided to develop the TASK mobile app when we realized that only 20% of the users have access to desktop and laptop computers and more than double that number use smart phones and mobile internet. Sujiv Nair, CEO, TASKSujiv Nair CEO TASK

How the app helps students, colleges and corporates

The mobile app provides comprehensive information with regard to training, certification and placement in various technology skills. Since the information gets updated regularly, the users get benefited from the latest and most relevant info available at their fingertips

Training and certification course details, enrollment and tracking performance

For example, various programs offered by TASK that includes course catalogue of Technology programs, Soft Skills , ESDM and e-Learning along with eligibility criteria are listed on the app.

College faculty and placement departments

Faculty members of various colleges can get information on training courses for faculty improvement and trends in corporate placements. The Training and Placement Office (TPO) gets to view the number of students placed in different jobs.

Current job openings with year wise listing of students

While students get to see the available jobs and placements and apply for the same using their login credentials for the portal. Corporates can get information on the availability of students who have passed out or who would be completing the courses in the current year.

Announcements

All the users get updated on latest announcements on partnerships, student registrations, FAQ’s and skill enhancement programs.

Training calendar

Students and educators get to know about TASK Training calendar on various Technology and Softs skill programs and enroll directly from the app.

Future plans for enriching the TASK mobile app experience

TASK is planning to integrate their Learning Management System (LMS) with the mobile app so that students can easily access learning content in the form of short webinars and other modular chunks of learning material. Colleges will also benefit from the LMS because the process of course enrolment and approval gets automated and easily manageable.

Students will also have access to personalizing their learning by tracking the classes they’ve attended, marked scored and current and desirable skill levels.

They can view the job openings, mapped with their skillsets since their current skill levels would be linked with prospective employers.
