Indian Vocational Training Market to grow at a CAGR of 23% over the period FY 2019-2023
According to a report Indian Vocational Training Market 2019 was valued at INR 90 bn in 2011 and is likely to grow at a CAGR of 23%. Government has set a target of preparing 500 million skilled workers by 2022, as 75-80 million jobs will be created over the next 5 years and 75% of them will require vocational training.

Year 2017-18 showed rise in FDI in food processing sector by 24 %
The Ministry of Food Processing Industries is leading the food processing industry in India. The efforts of the ministry have led to FDI in food processing sector rising by 24 per cent in 2017-18. Under PMKVY 33.5 lakh skilled in the last 4 years
The government has provided skill training to over 33.5 lakh people in electronics, IT and IT-enabled services sectors between the financial year 2014-15 and 2017-18.
