Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF), India’s premier institution offering a wide range of industry integrated programs at the Graduate and Post-Graduate level has recently reached a new milestone in their journey. NTTF signed a prestigious Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Open College Network (NOCN), which makes NTTF their approved centre/s to offer International Diploma. The MoU was signed in the presence of Mr. N. Reguraj, Managing Director (MD), NTTF and Mr. Graham Hasting-Evans, Group MD, NOCN.
NOCN has been pioneering vocational skills development and apprenticeships, including the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy in the UK. Being one of the UK’s largest awarding organisation in the construction sector, NOCN is working towards improving training in this sector. NOCN is an awarding and apprenticeship assessment organisation and Government-approved end-point assessment organisation for 30 years, based in the United Kingdom (UK), specializing in productivity.
How NTTF – NOCN approved International Diploma program works
The International Diploma certificate will be applicable in all the centres of NTTF. Students at NTTF can get Concurrent International Diploma along with Diploma in Tool Engineering and Digital Manufacturing, Diploma in Electronics and Embedded System, NTTF Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering and Smart Factory and Diploma in Computer Engineering and IT Infrastructure.
International Diploma offers a pathway to pursue a Bachelors’ degree in UK university along with an opportunity of a student visa. NOCN will also internationally accredit NTTF’s short-term certificate courses as well. This option is available for current students of NTTF and also its Alumni. “ This could open up possibly to go for higher education overseas for students after international Diploma”
The NOCN – NTTF collaboration will focus on working together on skills capacity development and on undertaking a benchmarking exercise of NTTF existing vocational diploma training programmes. Ensuring their qualifications attain an international standard provided by NOCN’s quality assurance, validation and certification service. The output of the project will enable students to be skilled and trained to an international standard and be job-ready for the International employment market. This will enhance their employability skills to secure sustainable work within India or overseas.
