NTTF programmes are known for their industry-relevant practical training and well-balanced curriculum. For the past six decades, NTTF has been developing industry-ready individuals, and many students have benefited from it.

The NTTF B.Voc programme with dual benefits, in particular, is specifically designed to help students not only have a successful career as an employee but also to embark on an entrepreneurial journey and thus become job creators.

Let’s look at how Mr. Piyush Bhardwaj realized his entrepreneurial dreams through B.Voc. Piyush is an NTTF alumnus who completed his B.Voc in 2022. He received his Diploma in Mechatronics and Smart Factory from NTTF along with a B.Voc degree from Dayananda Sagar University (DSU). And the training he underwent as a part of NTTF B.Voc with dual benefits helped Piyush build a strong foundation with an ideal combination of knowledge and skills in the latest manufacturing technologies.

After the completion of the programme, Piyush embarked on an entrepreneurial journey and started his own venture known as TRISX Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in April 2022. The focus of his company is on Drone technology which is one of the emerging technologies in India.

Piyush’s journey as an NTTF B.Voc alumnus

Reflecting on his journey as a part of the NTTF B.Voc programme, Piyush said, “The NTTF B.Voc programme helped me acquire all the industry-relevant skills and made me ready for the future of work. Today, all the skills, technical and non-technical, are helping me sail smoothly through all the challenges in my professional life.”

“The programme not only provided practical hands-on training in various types of machinery such as Lathe machines, CNC machines, and 3D Printing machines, but it also enabled us to learn various programming languages such as C, C++, Python and VSLI. Mastering the programming languages made my resume stand out and helped me secure a job in Accenture as a System and Application Associate,” added Piyush.

During the course of their studies, students participate in internship programmes to better prepare themselves for a successful career. Piyush, along with his classmates also, underwent a six-month internship programme with STT Global Data Centers India Pvt. Ltd which helped him gain knowledge about the various operations of Data Centres.

Piyush reflected on his internship, saying, “We also visited various companies during our internship to gain a better grasp of all the operational systems, from raw materials to finished goods. And, after completing our internship successfully, we were well-equipped with all skills and knowledge. We also received a certificate of completion at the end.”

How Piyush made use of opportunities from NTTF to ideate, innovate and create

NTTF, in addition to developing skills and preparing students for the workforce, provides opportunities for students to hone their skills of innovation and creativity. The NTTF’s first-of-its-kind satellite development workshop, held in collaboration with TSC Technology and UNISEC India, was one such event that provided students with a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Discussing the satellite development workshops, Piyush said, “The workshop helped us learn more in detail about the creation of nanosatellites. In the workshop, we developed CANSAT and configured it to record atmospheric data such as temperature, humidity, and other variables. The entire experience of being a part of something so spectacular was exceptional. As students, we benefited from the session in many ways and learned a lot from it.”

Here’s how NTTF helps lay a strong foundation for an entrepreneurial journey

NTTF has effectively influenced thousands of lives by developing world-class leaders in the form of entrepreneurs. The comprehensive training approaches used by NTTF are created with the potential of imparting the necessary skills for a young person to pursue entrepreneurship as a career. And Piyush Bhardwaj‘s entrepreneurial career is a living example of NTTF’s significant training.

Talking about his journey as an entrepreneur, Piyush said, “Combining all the knowledge gained from NTTF and DSU, I along with two of my classmates made the decision to start our own venture. We established TRISX Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in April 2022 with the assistance of the AIC-DSU Innovation Foundation. We are honoured to be acknowledged by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade as an aeronautical start-up (DPIIT). TRISX Technologies specializes in drone technology and is developing drones that will make commercial air cargo more affordable and accessible. To reduce our reliance on outside companies for the solutions, we are utilizing locally designed technology that will be employed in our drones. The device will be market-ready in around 10 months and accessible to the general public by the end of 2023.”

  • We often talk about innovation, future skills, and employability. But the real foundation for all of this is built much earlier, in our schools.Students from PM SHRI Demonstration Multipurpose School (DMS), Bhopal, have developed a smart multi-sensor safety system that can detect gas leaks, fire, temperature, and humidity, along with real-time alerts. What makes this noteworthy is not just the outcome, but the learning process behind it.This is what happens when students move beyond textbooks and engage in hands-on, application-based learning. They don’t just understand concepts; they apply them to solve real-world problems. It’s a reminder that when students are given the right opportunities, guidance, and environment, their potential can translate into meaningful, practical solutions. As conversations around skill education and future readiness continue to grow, there is a clear need to create more such learning experiences in schools, where curiosity, experimentation, and problem-solving are at the core.Because that is where real learning begins.#skilldevelopment #education #studentinnovation #learningbydoing #educationtransformation #STEMEducation #younginnovators
