Medhavi Skills University (MSU) in Sikkim inaugurated the Work-Integrated ITI (CTS) training program at an Industry Partner Location in Pune on August 27, 2023, in collaboration with RSB Transmissions. This initiative falls under the Flexi-MoU scheme of the Directorate General of Training (DGT).

Notably, Medhavi Skills University had previously partnered with DGT for the Flexi-MoU scheme. This program offers Flexible ITI (CTS) training in collaboration with esteemed industries, enabling students to earn a qualification certificate while gaining practical experience at industry premises.

The Flexi-MoU Scheme by DGT addresses industry needs and youth aspirations. It enables training to specific skills for candidates while aligning with market demands and tech trends. Aligned with the New National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, it promotes practical, affordable, and inclusive education, boosting enrolment.

MSU has collaborated with RSB Transmissions, Pune, a globally reputed automotive manufacturing OEM company, and has deputed 110 Flexi ITI Trainees for the inaugural batch. The occasion also saw the presence of Mr. Mehboob Saiyyad, Managing Director of TalentCorp Solutions India, the candidate sourcing and staffing partner for Medhavi Skills University.

Mr. Pravesh Dudani, Founder and Chancellor of MSU, represented the University. Also present from the Medhavi team were Mr. Sajeev Kumar S., Vice President of Industry Relations, and Mr. Sitaram A. P., General Manager of Skill Integration and Certification.

During his speech, the Chief Guest, Mr. Abhay A. Mahishi, emphasized the program’s unique model, which allows students to continue their education while gaining real-time, hands-on experience in an industry setting.

Mr. Pravesh Dudani, highlighted that the Flexi-MoU Training Program is a significant initiative to bridge the employability gap and foster a well-trained workforce, in line with NEP 2020.

Mr. Durga Prasana Das, Plant Head at RSB, stressed that trainees should be multi-skilled and will be provided with role rotations every quarter of the program. He also mentioned that students would receive a stipend per industry standards during their On-the-Job Training (OJT) period.
