CSIR-IIP Integrated Skill Development Training Programs

CSIR-Indian Institute of Petroleum (CSIR-IIP), one of the foremost constituent laboratories of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), contributes to areas of research and development that is multidisciplinary and caters to the downstream sector of hydrocarbon and related industries. It was established in the year 1960, and since then, has been led by excellent staff and enabled with wide-ranging state-of-the-art R&D facilities, such as pilot plants. 

The institute is at the forefront for carrying out training programmes aimed at technical personnel working in refining industry, petrochemical plants, automotive sector, power plants and other related user industries. The training programmes are industry focussed, and are undertaken by both Indian and international clients. The list of skill development programs for the year 2018 has been given below:

1.     Basic skill development training on Analytical Chemistry, tools and techniques

Duration-2 months: 19/02/2018 to 20/04/2018

Eligibility:  M.Sc Chemistry

Seats: 20

2.     Basic skill development training in fitting cum welding

Duration- 3 months: 19/02/2018 to 18/05/2018

Eligibility:  10th Pass

Seats: 5

3.     Basic skill development training on refrigeration & air conditioning

Duration- 3 months: 19/02/2018 to 18/05/2018

Eligibility:  10th Pass

Seats: 5

4.     Basic  hands on training on Bioreactors

Duration- 6 weeks: 19/02/2018 to 06/04/2018

Eligibility:  B.tech/ M.tech/ M.Sc/ B.Pharm/ M.Pharm

Seats: 10

5.     Basic skill development training on downstream processing for enzymes & proteins

Duration- 6 weeks: 15/03/2018 to 27/04/2018

Eligibility:  B.tech/ M.tech/ M.Sc/ B.Pharm/ M.Pharm

Seats: 10

1.     Basic Skill Development training on Testing of Petroleum Products.

Duration: 1 Month

       Eligibility: B.Sc (with Chemistry as elective) M.Sc Chemistry

         Seats: 10

2.     Basic Skill Development training on Industrial Aspects of Recombinant Biotechnology.

       Duration: 6 Weeks

       Eligibility: B.Tech/M.Tech/ M.Sc/B.Pharm/M.Pharm

         Seats: 10

3.     Basic Skill Development training on Computational Biology.

Duration: 2 Weeks

Eligibility: B.Tech/M.Tech/M.Sc/ B.Pharm/M.Pharm

Seats: 10

4.     Basic Skill Development Training on Current trends in Library and Information Science.

Duration: 1 Month

Eligibility: B.Lib

Seats: 10
