The Government of Andhra Pradesh has embarked on a first-of-its-kind initiative to promote apprenticeships through active industry engagement. As an implementing agency, Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) is involved in expanding the scope of apprenticeships in all sectors, as per National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) by integrating short-term skill development courses with apprenticeships. APSSDC has already formed an Apprenticeship Cell to foster an industry-friendly facilitating environment.
Taking an unprecedented lead , APSSDC is organizing a one-day conference on Implementation of Apprenticeship Scheme in Andhra Pradesh on 11th July 2018.
Bringing out the significance of the conference , Mr. Sandeep Kosaraju, General Manager – Operations, APSSDC, says “apprenticeship is sustainable solution to the challenge of youth unemployment, preparing the workforce for the dynamic demands of the industry and increasing competitiveness of the job market. We are working towards promoting apprenticeship by linking it with the skilling ecosystem. We strongly believe that our initiatives will enable us to create an industry-ready workforce and help us transform Andhra Pradesh into the ‘Skill Capital of India’. The conference is one-of its-kind by any state and is expected to set the pace for active industry engagement.”
