Skill development initiatives in India have seen many landmark deliberations, decisions and initiatives in 2016. As the year-end is just around the corner, let’s revisit the milestones in Skill India Journey. Our team has compiled the highlights at the national level for a quick recap of the headlines. Skill Development Budget

An outlay of Rs.1,700 crore will be used to set up 1,500 multi-skill training institutes (MSTIs) across the country.MSTIs will be new generation ITIs set up in PPP mode.

But what helps you navigate it?That was the conversation we explored last week at NSTI Women, Hyderabad, during our session on the human side of employability with the young CTS students.The students participated with enthusiasm and curiosity. A big thank you to Deputy Director Ms. Arulselvi for the warm welcome and for taking us through the institute.Walking through the practical classrooms and interacting with students and faculty gave us an immersive glimpse into the learning happening across areas such as Cosmetology, Architectural Draughtsman, Fashion Design Technology and AI & IoT.As we moved from one classroom to another, it was interesting to see the students and faculty at work and hear about their project goals and experiences.
