  • Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan launches Project ODISERV in Sambalpur to prepare Odisha’s young graduates for financial services sector jobs, emphasizing empowerment and employability.

Stakeholder collaboration – Industry, Academia and Government

  • Odisha Cabinet amends semiconductor policy to enhance investment in electronics manufacturing, with focus on fiscal incentives, R&D, and skill development.
  • Female enrollment in online certification courses has doubled in 5 years, with top courses including web development, digital marketing, advanced Excel, Python, financial modeling, data science, HR, machine learning, and UI/UX design seeing increased interest.
  • UGC has released guidelines for institutional development plans in higher educational institutions, stressing the significance of crafting customized strategies to meet academic objectives.
  • Advanced Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Program on welding and CNC, covering 5-axis CNC, 3-axis CNC, wood carving, and underwater welding, commenced at NIT Srinagar, organized by IIEDC and sponsored by the Ministry of MSME.
  • The government of Meghalaya has collaborated with 1M1B to set up Green Skills Academy in Shillong, focusing on AI and youth empowerment.
