Bengaluru Skill Summit 2025: Driving Skills, Innovation, and Growth in Karnataka
Karnataka is set to host the inaugural Bengaluru Skill Summit 2025, a flagship platform dedicated to workforce transformation and future-ready skilling. Organised by the Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood (SDEL), Government of Karnataka, the Summit aims to position the state as a global benchmark for innovation, inclusion, and employability in the skilling ecosystem.
The three-day summit will take place from 4–6 November 2025 at The Lalit Ashok, Bengaluru.

DIDAC India and DIDAC Skills 2025 – Asia’s Largest Exhibition and Conference for the Education and Skills Sector
Asia’s largest and India’s only Exhibition and Conference on educational resources and solutions returns with its 15th edition – Bigger, Bolder, Better, along with Didac Skills – Asia’s only Exhibition and Conference on Future of Work.
Organised by the India Didactics Association (IDA) in collaboration with Messe Stuttgart India, the event will bring together the latest educational resources, technology-based solutions, innovative products, and contemporary educational advances.

Skill development updates from the government
- Telangana launches T-STEM digital platform to optimise lab infrastructure across junior colleges, polytechnics, and universities, enhancing vocational and technical education.
 - Jammu and Kashmir Bank Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETI) Rajouri, concludes 35-day tailoring training for 35 women, equipping them with garment-making skills to boost employability and entrepreneurship.
 - Kerala signs MoU with the Ministry of Education to implement PM SHRI, transforming schools into excellence hubs with modern infrastructure, smart classrooms, and skill-focused learning under NEP 2020.
 - Assam Rifles’ Khonsa Battalion launched a skill initiative under Operation Sadbhavana, distributing sewing machines to empower Ollo community women in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tirap district toward financial self-reliance.
 - The Kerala government launched an employment initiative to provide one lakh job opportunities for ITI graduates through skill training, job fairs, and the “Recruit, Train and Deploy” model.
 - BSNL and Viasat India expanded their collaboration to promote skill development in satellite communications and UAV technologies, establishing a Centre of Excellence at BRBRAITT, Jabalpur, for engineering students’ hands-on training.
 - South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) released a special India Post cover commemorating Coal India’s Golden Jubilee and SECL’s 40 years of contribution to India’s energy sector.
 - KISS-DU’s STI Hub, supported by DST, organised a three-day training in Keonjhar to empower tribal communities through science, technology, and sustainable livelihoods.
 - UP government partners with Deloitte India to launch monthly ITI placement drives across districts, enhancing industry linkages and supporting the state’s one trillion-dollar economy vision.
 - Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu directs officials to make Naipunyam portal a one-stop platform for employment, skill development, and 20 lakh job opportunities by 2029.
 - IIM Lucknow and Educate Girls study reveals 60% of UP women aged 18 – 29 are not in education, employment, or training, urging second-chance education solutions.
 - Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi announces over 11 lakh recruitment letters issued through Rozgar Melas, highlighting new private sector opportunities for youth; 51,000 letters distributed across 40 locations.
 - The Himachal Pradesh government reports that 12,378 youth are employed and 14,421 have been trained through MOOCs and SWAYAM, advancing digital learning and future-ready skill development under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Sukhu.

Skill development updates on CSR and Industry
- Haryana Corrugated Box Manufacturers Association (HCBMA), in association with Federation of Corrugated Box Manufacturers (FCBM), hosted a meet-and-greet event in Sonipat to enhance professional skills, foster networking, and discuss industry updates, including recent GST changes.
 - RedVersity, RED Health’s training arm, received HSSC accreditation to offer government-recognised vocational programs in healthcare and emergency services, advancing industry-ready workforce development across India.
 - Apparel, Made-ups and Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council (AMHSSC), in collaboration with ITEES Singapore, launched a six-month Luxury Fashion and Lifestyle Management Course in Mumbai to train youth for premium fashion and retail careers.
 - Toyota Kirloskar Motor announced that 100 young professionals will undergo 11-month Global Skill-Up Training in Japan, gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing, teamwork, and cross-cultural collaboration.
 - Ladli Foundation and Avdheshanandji Mission launch ‘Institute of Future Skilling’ in Delhi to train 2,000 underprivileged youth in digital technologies.
 - Daimler India and IIM Calcutta Innovation Park launch CSR-backed Social Impact Incubation Programme to support 10 tech-driven enterprises aligned with Viksit Bharat and SDG goals.
