Bengaluru Skill Summit 2025: Driving Skills, Innovation, and Growth in Karnataka

Karnataka is set to host the inaugural Bengaluru Skill Summit 2025, a flagship platform dedicated to workforce transformation and future-ready skilling. Organised by the Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood (SDEL), Government of Karnataka, the Summit aims to position the state as a global benchmark for innovation, inclusion, and employability in the skilling ecosystem.

The three-day summit will take place from 4–6 November 2025 at The Lalit Ashok, Bengaluru.

A vision for future-ready skilling

The Bengaluru Skill Summit is envisioned as an annual, government-backed platform that brings together policymakers, industry leaders, academia, international agencies, and youth. Its primary goal is to design and implement actionable strategies for workforce transformation, addressing the evolving needs of industries and creating pathways for sustainable careers.

With a focus on collaboration, innovation, and inclusion, the Summit reflects Karnataka’s commitment to aligning education, skilling, and entrepreneurship initiatives with national priorities such as the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, National Credit Framework (NCrF), and Digital India initiatives.

According to the event brochure, the Bengaluru Skill Summit will serve as a strategic convergence point for discussions and partnerships that shape the workforce of the future. The core objectives include:

  • Facilitating cross-sector dialogue between government, industry, academia, and development organizations
  • Showcasing innovative skilling models and technologies for emerging sectors
  • Encouraging youth participation through interactive programs and skill challenges
  • Building employability and entrepreneurial capacity among students and professionals
  • Strengthening institutional frameworks to promote scalable skill delivery models

The sessions and masterclasses will cover themes such as Industry 4.0 skills, digital transformation, sustainability and green jobs, EdTech innovations, and women’s participation in the workforce.
