Updates from the MSDE, NSDC, NCVET
- The Ministry of Education approved a ₹1,275 crore budget for Punjab’s school education in 2024-25 under the Samagra Shiksha scheme, highlighting teacher vacancies and infrastructure gaps in government schools.
- NSDC International and BFUHS have signed an MoU to upskill healthcare workers for global employment needs, focusing on training nurses for international jobs.

- Credo Centre of Excellence, in collaboration with the Apparel Skill Council, has inaugurated the first fashion incubation center in Kolkata, aiming to bolster West Bengal’s Rs 40,000 crore textile industry.
- I2CAN is offering diverse courses in Cosmetology, Trichology, Aesthetic Medicine, and Nutrition for both medical and non-medical students; with ISO and IAF certifications, and affiliations with NSDC and Skill India.
- ENGIE hosted a job fair in Bikaner, Rajasthan, focusing on felicitating students trained as Solar PV Installers. The initiative reflected ENGIE India’s commitment to fostering skilled workforce and promoting sustainable energy.
- The valedictory ceremony at IIM Jammu concluded the enriching Capacity Building Program Fourth Batch. The program provided a holistic learning experience aimed at empowering individuals to excel in their respective fields.
- The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board has commenced the enrollment process for ITIs, providing over 32,000 seats across 111 institutes in the state. Applications are accepted from April 7 to May 5, 2024.
- thingQbator, a Cisco CSR initiative in partnership with Nasscom Foundation, celebrated ten winning startups from its 6th Cohort at the Neovation ceremony, boosting student entrepreneurship and tech-skills in India.
