The Chief Minister’s Skill Development Fellowship Programme in Odisha, supported by the State Government, Tata STRIVE, and the Indian School of Business, is seeking passionate individuals aged 21-30 to drive change in the skilling ecosystem. Applicants will work closely with District Skill Development Missions across 30 districts to implement skill development initiatives. Updates from the MSDE, NSDC, NCVET

  • NCVET has signed agreements with CII, TNSDC, and C-DAC for recognition as Awarding Bodies (AB_Dual). This enables them to award, assess, and certify learners for approved qualifications.
  • PM Modi inaugurated 112 National Highway projects worth one lakh crore, including Dwarka Expressway in Haryana, Lucknow Ring Road, NH16 in Andhra Pradesh, and NH-21 in Himachal Pradesh.
  • Kaushal Mahotsav in Lucknow concluded with 6300 candidates shortlisted out of 12,000, with job offers presented by Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh. NSDC inaugurates Skill India Centre in Bhadrak, Odisha aiming to equip youth with demand-driven skills and expedite career opportunities.
  • Shri Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated a Skill India Centre in Angul, providing youth with employability skills for domestic and global markets, benefiting around 1000 children annually.

Stakeholder collaboration – Industry, Academia and Government

  • The government of Maharashtra has inaugurated India’s first Swachh Bharat Skill Academy to empower the workforce and fostering economic growth.
  • Hyundai’s CSR initiative, Drive4Progress, has partnered with Navjyoti NGO to train and employ 250 women drivers from underprivileged backgrounds in the transportation sector.
  • The government of Uttar Pradesh to provide skill training for jobs to over 61,000 to the youth through ‘Project Praveen’.
  • The SERB-INAE workshop on skilling, reskilling, and upskilling, focused on NE, J&K, and Ladakh, concluded at NIT Srinagar, jointly organized by IIEDC NIT Srinagar, SERB, and INAE.
  • GoLearn unveils online upskilling courses in BFSI for academic achievers in small towns of India, empowering them for sector growth to USD 1.8 trillion by 2025.
  • New Holland has launched project ‘Saksham’ to train and empower youth and address the requirement of sales personnel in the automotive industry.
  • UNDP India has partnered with the Skill Council for Green Jobs to create employment opportunities for women in renewable energy, combating climate change and promoting gender equality.
  • Medhavi Skills University (MSU) and NSDC have collaborated to implement the National Credit Framework (NCrF), aligning skilling with higher education as per NEP2020.
  • Adani Skill Development Centre launched port operations training and women’s skill development courses in Kerala, including ITV operation and Lasher training, to meet industry needs and empower women.

TNSDC-EOI for Master Trainers and Master Assessor

Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC) invites Expression of Interest (EOI) for Empanelment of Master Trainer and Master Assessor for Skill Development Training’s under TNSDC. Skilling and Upskilling in Emerging Technologies

  • PMKVY 4.0 has been launched in Kerala to skill 4 lakh youth in 3D printing, AI data analysis, EV, and drone manufacturing.
  • A welding technology and robotics lab was inaugurated at HJ Bhabha ITI in Delhi to provide new opportunities and best equipments for students.
