Top highlights in skill education in India

  • OSDA and Vedanta Lanjigarh signed an MoU to upskill 1,300+ youths in three years. The initiative targets unemployed youths from Kalahandi district, offering sustainable livelihood opportunities.
  • Diageo India has signed an MoU with the Skill Council for People with Disabilities to train 300 PwDs under its ‘Learning for Life’ program for roles in the business and hospitality sector.
  • IIT Jodhpur and STEPapp has partnered to empower school education with skill courses catering to students from grades 6-12 and equip them with emerging technologies such as AI, cyber security, 2D Animation, graphic design and entrepreneurship skills.
  • NIELIT Calicut has signed three MoUs with three premier institutions in Kerala for skill development and research, including ASAP, to enhance youth employability skills.
  • 1M1B Green Skills Academy has hosted its inaugural hands-on workshop at TASK in Hyderabad, with 200 students from various institutes. This event marks a significant stride in nurturing green skills and addressing real-world challenges.

Exclusive Opportunities: EOI and RFP Updates from Government of Gujarat

Expression of Interest (EoI) for setting up Centres of Excellence under MEGA TVET Project

  • The Government of Gujarat, through the Gujarat Skill Development Mission (GSDM) under the Labour, Skill Development, and Employment Department (LSD & ED), is inviting Request for Expression of Interest (EOI) to establish Four International Standard Centers of Excellence (CoE) under the GATI project.   • ADYPU has signed an MoU with Pearson to offer BTEC Higher Nationals, advancing world-class education and academic excellence.
  • IIHS affiliated with THSC, has opened a state-of-the-art facility in Udaipur, offering comprehensive courses to upskill professionals and bridge the skill gap in the hospitality industry.

  • AGI Mumbai is offering specialized courses in Cyber Security, Fintech, Sustainable Design, and Digital Marketing, fostering industry ties for practical skill development.
