Skill Development up-gradation Training and Capacity Building Program for Women Unity SHG Federation in Manipur

A three-month-long Skill Development up-gradation Training and Capacity Building Program for Women Unity SHG Federation will be held in Manipur. The program is organized in collaboration with the MSME Development Institute (DI), Imphal, Manipur under the Ministry of Development of the North Eastern Region (MDoNER).

Importance of Skill up-gradation training

The skill up-gradation training is necessary for job seekers as it will include technical coaching, spoken English, communication skill, computer skill and soft skills including classes on recruiting procedure visa, employment contract emigration among others.

The Skill Development up-gradation Training Programme

The program was inaugurated by Mr. Thongkholun Baite, Director MSME Development Institute, Ministry of Micro Small Medium Enterprise, Government of India at Chothe village by Mr. Thongkholun Baite, Director MSME Development Institute, Ministry of Micro Small Medium Enterprise, Government of India. The meeting was conducted by Mercy SHG Dimdailong village.

Duration of the Skill Development Training –

The training will be conducted for three months by taking advice from the Weavers Service Centre under the State Ministry of Textile which will start from the second week of January 2022. He also emphasized how textile can grow widely for Income earning among SHG. The training will be conducted for the Weaving, Tailoring, Training cum Production Centre and will also be taught Financial Management and functioning as FPO.

Processing unit –

The processing unit and training were also inaugurated at the same time by a ribbon cutting of the training banner by Mr. Thongkholun Baite, Director, MSME Development Institute. The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Thaojatra Chothe, Chief of Chothe Village, Church Elders, CdCRMS Churachandpur officials and SHG Federation.
