National Skills Network (NSN) is organising an online interactive workshop under the series, “NSN Catalyse”. The workshop is entitled “Skill development and vocational education in India: An orientation workshop”.

About the workshop

Did you know that by 2030, a third of the world’s working-age population is going to be from India? The demographic dividend is yet to be realized in our country.

This is where skill development becomes crucial in increasing productivity, income and job creation. National Education Policy 2020 has also mandated closely integrate skills and education for enhancing youth employability.

This coupled with reforms, policy changes and other recent developments in this sector have created countless opportunities for people to participate actively through skill-based training for employability and livelihood enablement.

However, the skilling landscape appears to be rather complex to decipher and understand.

And, it’s imperative for every enthusiast, stakeholder and change maker to appreciate the developments in a simple and coherent way to contribute and create the desired impact.

The NSN team has pioneered many initiatives to create awareness, facilitate partnerships and support advocacy over the last 6 years. And now we are excited to share our experience and knowledge by providing the skill enthusiasts with relevant, reliable and authentic information about the evolving skilling ecosystem in India.
