Technical Seminar and Workshop on High Precision Arc Welding Technology scheduled from 22nd – 23rd August at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai. Click here to register online.

Following our Prime Minister’s mission to take the country’s manufacturing industry to a higher technological level, thereby setting a goal to raise the percentage of manufacturing in GDP from present 16% to 25% by Year 2022 to create 100 Million new jobs, we are seeking Japan’s support for “Education in Manufacturing Technologies”.

High Precision Arc Welding Technologies

Welding technology is a fundamental aspect of “monodzukuri (manufacturing)”. The reliability and safety of steel weld structures depends on welding personnel, such as welding coordinators, welding inspectors and welders.

Against the above backdrop and with a view toward improving the business environment and the global competitiveness of Indian Industry, under the aegis of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) Japan, Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS) in partnership withConfederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing a two day technical seminar cum workshop in association with and Kansai Economic Federation, Kankeiren and supported by Panasonic, Iwatani & Kobelco.

The Consulate General of Japan in Tamil Nadu has been invited to be the Chief Guest. Senior Members of Indian Institute of Welding (IWS) & Indian Institute of Welding (IIW) and representatives of Heavy Engineering / Construction Equipment Industry and other organizations who uses welding technologies are expected to attend the programme.

The two-day workshop will demonstrate Japan’s High-quality welding technology including the importance of welding quality control, legal regulations, certification systems and safety education which will impact positively on India’s quality of products.

Who Should Participate in the Seminar on Arc Welding Technology

  • Welding Supervisors who oversee welding productivity, quality, cost and safety
  • Welding Technologists
  • Decision makers from Industry, Engineering colleges and Technical training institutes
  • Teaching faculty (related to welding) of Engineering Colleges
  • Training faculty (related to welding) of Technical Training Institutes
  • Members of Industry Associations (related to welding)

The workshop will entail free content and study materials on lecturers of various professors from Joining & Welding Research Institute (JWRI), Osaka University & The Japan Welding Engineering Society (JWES).
