As per a recent report by IDC, Salesforce is expected to create 4.2 million jobs globally by 2024. In India alone, the company aims to create 548,400 direct jobs by 2024. BFSI, Manufacturing, Consumer and Retail, EdTech, Hi-tech, and Professional Services are the industries where the demand is rapidly growing. With the growth of Salesforce, the demand for Salesforce talent and skills are on a rise. And the career choices are abundant even for non-IT graduates. 

Salesforce is a Software as a Service (SaaS) – based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution that provides holistic/ robust solutions. It is also a platform for users and developers to develop and distribute custom software. Salesforce dominates the market with over 20% of the CRM software market share.

With rapid technological disruption, India has already embarked on a journey that transforms every organization into a digital enterprise. The unprecedented outbreak of COVID-19 has further accelerated the growth and created an urgency to leverage technology even more. To keep pace with rapidly evolving customer demands as well as new remote working models, companies across the country are accelerating their adoption of technology.

Salesforce: The increased demand for the services and certifications

In this new normal, to rebuild the trust, reconnect and keep in touch with the customers, major companies in India are investing in effective CRM solutions. Being a true leader in delivering CRM solutions, Salesforce has been dominating the market. In May 2021, Salesforce reported the best first quarter with $5.96 billion in revenue and India has been a key player. 

To enable companies to connect with their customers, Salesforce has developed a wide range of products such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud among others. And in recent times, to help the Indian government vaccinate over 1.3 billion people, Salesforce has created Vaccine Cloud. Certification programs to enhance your Salesforce skills

Salesforce has partnered with NSDC to enhance NSDC’s skill development and capacity building initiatives through Trailhead. Under the partnership, NSDC and Salesforce will empower learners and educators, regardless of socioeconomic background, to skill up for the jobs of tomorrow with innovative content, presentations and training resources.

Along with Salesforce’s Trailhead, Salesforce has been partnering with major EdTech companies with an aim to train college graduates with Salesforce skills for the jobs of the future. It has recently partnered with TalentSprint, a leading EdTech platform for DeepTech education and part of the NSE group. The collaboration will focus on training aspiring college graduates (Engineers with a Computer Science or Information Science background, BTech, MCA, BCA) to be world-class software developers, ready to take on roles in leading IT services and consulting firms and carry out Salesforce implementations for their global clientele.

The certified Salesforce Platform Developer program will create 700+ Salesforce Developers in the first year. It will also provide them with internship and placement opportunities in the Salesforce partner ecosystem. The program is now accepting applications for the first cohort and the program will start in September 2021.   • COL-CEMCA Conducts Three-Day Workshop on Graduate Employability at YCMOU, Nashik, MaharashtraDr. Madhuri Dubey, Founder-Director, NSN, facilitated the workshop as a part of the Commonwealth of Learning - Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CoL-CEMCA) Project on enhancing graduate employability by integrating appropriate skills into the curriculum.The workshop was organized by CoL-CEMCA in collaboration with Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU), Nashik, from 10th to 12th March, 2026, at the YCMOU campus in Nashik, Maharashtra under the guidance of Dr. B. Shadrach, Director, CEMCA and Dr Jane Agbu , Adviser Higher Education, Commonwealth of Learning.
The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. Sanjeev Sonawane, honourable Vice-Chancellor, YCMOU, and coordinated by Dr. Amol Shirfule, Director i/c, Yash Center for Innovation, Incubation and Linkages and Dr. Nagarjun Wadekar, Director, School of Social Sciences and Humanities, YCMOU.As a part of the comprehensive Graduate Employability Project, the workshop brought together academic leaders representing different schools of specialization, course coordinators, and faculty members from YCMOU to strengthen curriculum design with a focus on employability skills and industry relevance.The workshop emphasised the transition from traditional content-driven teaching to outcome-based education using the Results-Based Management (RBM) Framework.
