Women have made considerable progress to rise and claim rights to match their male counterparts in various spheres of the society. Initially, they had to struggle significantly to push the society out of its old school thoughts and accept women for what they are. Orion Edutech and PMKVY have jointly made it possible for women to be independent and make a mark on their own. ‘Soni Pal’ from a small village, Lakshmanpur in Varanasi has, with their help, made it possible on her own to support her family financially and with dignity. She decided to quit the job of washing utensils in her locality and undertake skill development training to not only increase her earnings but earn a lot more respect from the society. Despite being supported from the Govt. and the Organization, her family never supported her in her pursuit to seek professional excellence.
In the family, her husband is the only earning member of the family. He is working as a mechanic in a small garage in Lakshmanpur. He has a major role to play in the family, as there are many dependable members in the family to look after. So, Soni decided to change the equation and support her husband instead of being a liability. She became distinctly persevering to her vocation simply for the sake of her little girl’s better future. Today, Soni with all her dedication and determination is successfully working with “Ruby Fashions” after being placed there by the Orion Edutech Varanasi Centre.
