Arsona Devi, Customer Care Executive
I am Arsona Devi, hailing from a small village in Assam. Since my childhood, I always dreamt of a successful and independent future for myself. However, as a village girl, I never got the opportunity to lead a life of my choice. With a family of five members, where my father works as a farmer and mother as a housewife, my life was never easy. Nevertheless, in my gloomy and depressing life, DDU-GKY project came as a ray of hope. The DDU-GKY project offers ample opportunities in skill training programme, which enabled me to pursue my dreams.
Once I decided to join DDU- GKY, I moved to Guwahati and got myself enrolled into the training sessions offered by Orion Edutech Pvt. Ltd. It was a training programme of 3 months where I got to learn basics of customer care, IT, Soft skills and improved my English language skills. Finally, I completed my training with flying colours and got placed at a company named “HINDUJA GLOBAL SOLUTIONS”, Siliguri as a CCE (Customer Care Executive). I joined the company on August ’15 and it was the best day in my life. I have been associated with the company for quite a long time now. I received many awards and was appreciated for my good work in the company. I was also nominated and received the PRISM Award from our Honourable CM of Assam, Mr. Tarun Gogoi for my outstanding performance during the training session.
I strongly believe that skill and knowledge go hand in hand and if our schools and other educational institutions equip the students with basic skills, we can easily meet the global standards of the work industry.
