Under the guidance of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) and the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) each signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian School of Business (ISB), on 1st September 2022, to provide top management education through entrepreneurial programs geared toward women.
Shri Rajesh Aggarwal, Secretary, MSDE, commended the partnership and stated that “All parties are working to provide young people and businesses with many chances so they can advance the development of the country. The necessity to evolve and adapt to these changes by giving the youth suitable skill training is vital given how quickly skills are advancing today”. He added that the collaboration is consistent with the overall goal of making India the world’s “Skill Capital“ by building an environment that is supportive of both entrepreneurship and skill development.
ISB faculty and industry experts will be able to develop and implement two programs:
- Business Foundations & Entrepreneurial Skills
- Behavioural Skills Program
NIESBUD and IIE will also promote the enrolment of youth, job seekers, and entrepreneurs in these two training programmes on the ISB LMS. Upon successful completion of the courses, participants will get a joint certification.
The Business Foundations & Entrepreneurial Skills program will cover:
- Introduction to macroeconomics and microeconomics.
- Marketing management, operations management, competitive strategy, negotiation analysis, and
- The foundations of business
- Entrepreneurial orientation, a grasp of the start-up development pipeline,
- The ability to identify market needs, problems, and opportunities.
The Behavioural Skills Program aims to empower youth with a variety of skills and techniques to improve their effectiveness in both their careers and personal lives.

- Building self-awareness, cultivating a growth mindset
- Effective verbal and nonverbal communications
- Presentation and public speaking, developing a personal brand
- The art of networking, the art of storytelling
- An introduction to technology
- How to ace a job interview and negotiation analysis
