MCCIA held apprenticeship awareness programme: An apprenticeship awareness programme was held at Maratha Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA).The awareness programme was part of an initiative launched by Yashaswi and Union Ministry for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. 

The relevance of vocational degrees and universities offering B.Voc courses: The enrolment of students in B.Voc courses has increased from 554 in 2013 to more than 30000 in 2018 and 2019 even though awareness about vocational courses and universities offering vocational degree programs

SIP Academy to host Vihaan India in 2040 for school principals: SIP Academy, a skill development company is organizing “Vihaan India in 2040” for school principals and correspondents, to develop skills in children to make india a true global leader by 2040.

Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) launches Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship Programme with IIM Bangalore: To boost skill development at the district level, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE)  signed a contract with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore for introducing a two-year fellowship programme Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship (MGNF) programme. Government collaborates with Sterlite to train tier-3 entrepreneurs in network maintenance: Networking solutions company Sterlite Technologies (STL) collaborated with government to train tire-3 entrepreneurs in network maintenance. The company will provide “highly-skilled” fibre specialists in association with the Indian government’s Common Services Centres (CSC) to skill village level entrepreneurs (VLE) in maintenance and operations of optical fibre networks.

Pradhan Mantri Innovative Learning Programme DHRUV was launched: Pradhan Mantri Innovative Learning Programme-DHRUV, was launched by Union Human Resource Development Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal. This will act as a turning point in the lives of extraordinarily talented students, from the premises of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Headquarters at Bengaluru.

Konaseema to have a skill development Centre: A skill development centre will be coming up in Konaseema area to impart training to the unemployed youth in various trades, she added. The MP appealed to SC/ST youth to avail this opportunity judiciously.

Goa could be the next skill hub with international partnerships: Goa could be the next skill hub as per the skill development and entrepreneurship minister as the state is partnering with countries like Maldives, who will send their youth for training in India

Jammu & Kashmir

BridgeLabz organised induction drive for engineering students in Jammu & Kashmir: BridgeLabz Solutions LLP recently conducted an induction drive for engineering students in Jammu & Kashmir. Aimed at inducting engineers for their ongoing Fellowship Program, the drive was held at Government Degree College, Udhampur, Jammu.

Skill Enhancement Centre was inaugurated in Mangaluru’s ITI : Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Limited inaugurated its new Skill Enhancement Centre at the Government ITI Mangaluru in collaboration with NSDC.

Nagaland

DUDA training on handicraft held in Nagaland: Department of Under Developed Areas (DUDA), Nagaland conducted a week long training on development of handicrafts was attended by 10 craftsmen from five tribes of Eastern Nagaland.

Punjab

Training camp was organised for beekeepers: The monthly agricultural training camp of Punjab Agricultural University’s (PAU) Progressive Bee-keepers Association was organised. The training was based on the safety norms of the beekeepers.
