She was good at beauty services and wanted to do something for herself and her family but she had no support from her family. She knew few things about beauty industry but she wanted to get some formal training and open her own salon.
She dreamt of providing a better future for her family. Her determination led her to Labournet training center where she underwent a skilling intervention for trade in the beauty sector. There were many challenges at home for her but her strong will-power and focus kept her going. She was successful in completing the course with flying colors and was able to get a decent job. But her family did not allow her to take up the job so she decided to open her own salon named ‘ Skin Care Beauty parlour’ .
After she completed her training she became confident and convinced her family to support her for opening the salon and she succeeded .Now she is earns Rs 15000 approximately per month at her own salon.
This inspired other parents in the village, to send their girls to attend such training programs. Sarika is thankful to LabourNet and Manipal for making her more confident and changing her life for the better.
