It was a double bonanza for LabourNet Services when the organisation was recently honoured with Best Vocational Training Partner award at two separate award ceremonies, namely, ASSOCHAM Summit-cum-awards held in New Delhi on August 9, 2017 and Indo Global Summit & Expo 2017 held in Bangalore on July 24, 2017.
Skill development has been given a fresh boost by the Government of India in the recent years and organisations like ASSOCHAM have been backing this movement by giving due recognition to the contribution of vocational training partners and other stakeholders, besides creating valuable thought leadership platforms for exchange of ideas, action plans and best practices.
Dr. Gayathri Vasudevan, CEO, LabourNet Services, was conferred with Skill Development Leadership award for her outstanding contribution in skill development and entrepreneurship at the Indo Global Summit & Expo.
Today vocational education is considered to be a significant stepping stone for becoming industry ready. With increased volume of early interventions at the school level, skilling initiatives are gathering momentum. LabourNet, with its decade long experience in this space, is a pioneer in taking skill development to the next level by designing livelihood enablement models that are both practical and impactful.
Today, technology has become an integral part of the education system. LabourNet has been leveraging technology for imparting state of the art training and skilling programs to individuals across India. The company has its presence in 28 sectors across 22 states and 5 union territories, functioning through 85+ livelihood centers. As a result, it is through technology the organisation is able to streamline its processes across geographies, ensuring effective and systematic execution of its projects. The team has developed a wide range of web-based tools and integrated them into a web and app-based system for the smooth running of all activities that are included in a full training cycle, viz. mobilisation, screening, enrolment, training, assessment and certification of candidates. The online system helps monitor the entire training lifecycle of every candidate along with their career progression post certification, thereby ensuring a systematic approach that improves quality of delivery.
LabourNet’s innovative thinking and service delivery has been duly recognised and has catapulted the organisation to a leading position in India.
