CV Raman Global University’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) provides world-class training and facilities, which were instrumental in the students’ success in the IndiaSkills Regional competition. Expert trainers at the university equip students with the necessary skills and support them in exhibiting their abilities.
Students go through three stages of training as part of their preparation. At the first stage, they are taught the skills required to compete in WorldSkills. They participate in non-timed practise sessions at the second level. Mock tournaments are also held at the university for third-level participants. They also keep track of the errors and progress graphs of the participants, allowing us to personalise the instruction to their individual requirements.
If you wish to know more about the training that is provided to the participants in the university, then you can read our conversation with Prof. Rajat Kumar Samantaray, Assistant Professor at CV Raman Global University who is also an expert trainer for WorldSkills participants – https://nationalskillsnetwork.in/worldskills-competitions-need-world-class-training-heres-how-cgu-ensures-it/
Odisha’s “Skilled-in-Odisha” programme received a boost after the state won the majority of the skills in the India Skills 2021 Eastern Region competition held in Patna, Bihar. Odisha dominated the competition, taking home 23 gold and 20 silver medals, far outnumbering the other states. The girls from Odisha have outperformed themselves and won medals in usually male-dominated fields such as welding and painting and decorating. In addition, Odisha’s competitors were given a walkover in six skills.
The winners of the competition will participate in the IndiaSkills competition which will be held in Bengaluru in December 2021. The winners of the India Skills competition will go on to compete in the World Skills Competition to be held in Shanghai China.
