CSIR-Indian Institute of Petroleum (CSIR-IIP), one of the foremost constituent laboratories of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), contributes to areas of research and development that is multidisciplinary and caters to the downstream sector of hydrocarbon and related industries. It was established in the year 1960, and since then, has been led by excellent staff and enabled with wide-ranging state-of-the-art R&D facilities, such as pilot plants.
The institute is at the forefront for carrying out training programmes aimed at technical personnel working in refining industry, petrochemical plants, automotive sector, power plants and other related user industries.
