Beauty and Wellness Sector Skill Council (B&WSSC) announces new partnerships

Beauty and Wellness Sector Skill Council (B&WSSC) announces new partnerships on its Annual General Meeting held on 28th Sept 2018  by signing many MoUs with many industry partners to expand their outreach in skill development. This includes CIDESCO International and the companies mentioned below:

Beauty and wellness skills partnershipsMoU with White Lotus

MoU signed between B&WSSC and White Lotus (Manasa Yoga) school of Yoga teacher’s training in Malaysia for rolling out the Indian Standards of Yoga internationally. The signing took place in the presence of Shri Manoj Kaimal Yoga from White Lotus. Since 2002, he has qualified and empowered dozens of Malaysian Yoga Alliance recognized teachers and B&WSSC joined hands to take the Indian yoga standards to Malaysia.

MoU with International Yoga Alliance

The MoU was signed with International Yoga alliance. Through this MoU the standards created in Yoga by the Council will be used for training yoga professionals globally. The MoU was signed by Swami Vidyanand from International Yoga Alliance and Mrs Vandana Luthra, Chairperson Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council.

MoU with Brainware University

In an effort towards providing degree courses in Beauty & Wellness. A MoU is signed with Brain Ware University for rolling out degree programs in Beauty Nail and Hair. The University is currently ranked as one of the top private universities in West Bengal under the chairmanship of its Chancellor. The MoU was signed by Mr Phalguni Mookhopadhyay Chancellor Brainware University and Chairperson B&WSSC.

MoU with EduVanz

B&WSSC, in its earnest endeavour to facilitate Skill Loans for the candidates, signed a MoU with Eduvanz, an NBFC, operating in the candidate level financing space. With Eduvanz coming in, Beauty & Wellness candidates can now avail skill loans on zero percent interest rate.

MoU with Capital Float

Another Collaboration of the day was signing an MoU with Capital Float, an NBFC, for facilitating skill loans for beauty & wellness candidates. The loan is available on lower interest rates and with flexible repayment options.

MoU Tata STRIVE

An EOI between Tata Strive and B&WSSC was signed on that day for working together on different avenues and taking forward the aim of developing a stronger skill ecosystem in Beauty & Wellness domain. The signing took place in the presence of Mr. Rakesh Sharma from Tata STRIVE.

MoU with Rayat Bahra University

B&WSSC signed MoU with Rayat Bahra University which is one of the largest educational groups in North India with 6 campuses across Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and with International campuses in UK & USA, for launching the Beauty & Wellness B.VoC programs in Skin & Hair at their Ropar campus . Post that the course will be rolled out across their other campuses.

MoU signed for RPL Type 4

MoU was also signed with Geetanjali Salon, Art of Living, & VLCC for certifying their employees under PMKVY RPL Type 4, in an effort to provide recognition to the informal learning, MSDE and NSDC through this RPL project Type 4 would ensure wider outreach to the large uncertified workforce across the country, through direct partnerships with Sector Skill Councils and Industry/ Corporate. Collaboration with the Top Employers shall help to enhance credibility of certification and help to promote mobility of the workforce across the sector. Our Industry will also benefit from their workforce being certified under National Skill qualification Framework.
