Dear friends,
We thank you for your continued support to ASTP and to the skilling industry in general. As 2019 beckons, in this edition, we look at various aspects of the evolving training industry. Given the fulcrum of our efforts around the students, we decided to focus on the core theme of “Skilling for Success” through employability enhancement. This is also one of the critical factors for industry to support the ambitious government initiatives around skilling India. A strong collaboration between employers and skill training providers is the key to ensuring employability. The best case, of course, is to move towards demand-led skilling model which, in the future, morphs into a employer-driven ecosystem.
In this edition, we present views and experience of the Training Providers (TP), the students who were successfully placed along with suggestions and expectations from the industry. We have also curated success stories of students, snippets of news and events, followed by recognition and awards for the TPs. We hope this cross-section of views will help us understand our mutual dependencies and strengthen our efforts in meeting the expectations.
As we enter 2019, we will continue our focus with renewed vigor on employability and employer/ training partner collaboration.
