I am happy to present to you the first edition of ASTP newsletter “Skilling for Success”. I hope it strengthens the skill training partner community through sustained communication and facilitate exchange of ideas and experiences. To initiate such engagement, in this edition, we have captured the views and perceptions of some of the training partners.While the interview with Dr Nalini Gangadharan, takes you back to the reasons for founding ASTP, as a new member, the experience of F-TEC is represented by Mallikarjuna Iytha. We have included two articles on PMKVY and DDU-GKY, with inputs from IL&FS, 2COMS, LabourNet, Empower Pragati and Orion Edutech, to understand the experience in implementing the schemes and share their learning with other members.
Training partners are instrumental in realizing the goals of skilling India through innovative PPP models of training, employability and entrepreneurship development. As the collective voice of the skills training partners, the newsletter should open new channels of communication with other stakeholders such as the government and the industry and keep them informed about our achievements and aspirations.
