Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI) has won the Award for best Initiatives in Aquaculture Segment at Aqua International Awards 2017 held in Hyderabad on 13th Oct 2017. The Award was instituted by NRS Publications to acknowledge organizations that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the Fisheries Sector in India- one of the most important demanding Agri segments in country. The award was conferred at the session of the 4th Edition of Aquaculture CEOs Forum India & AI Awards.
This award is in recognition of Agriculture Skill Council efforts that have supported the Aquaculture Segment by the development of 26 national level Standards, facilitated flagship Skill development Programs, introduction of vocational courses at School, College and University level both in cities and in rural areas.
Through its robust model and partnerships, Agriculture Sector Skill Council aims to bridge skills gaps across Agriculture sector and supplement the nation’s economic growth rate flawlessly.
With Agriculture contributing to the livelihood of more than 50 per cent of manpower in the country, Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI) is not only making a substantial impact on the skill development for them but also geared up towards making a significant and lasting impact on various other stakeholders and the economy through driving national agenda of skill development in Agriculture. ASCI is making all efforts to prepare India’s manpower especially in rural areas face the challenges of transforming Indian agriculture through appropriate skilling.
