Internships has become mandatory for many professional courses for exposing the students to real work settings and gain first hand work experience. As a part of expanding their impact, Internshala has entered into a partnership with Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) to provide internships and skill-based training to college students in the state. The main objective of this collaboration is to improve the students’ technical competencies and employability skills to make them future-ready.

APSSDC Internshala partnershipAs per the MoU, Internshala will extend the benefits to colleges registered with APSSDC to help with their students’ training and internship needs. Students will have access to over 1, 00,000 internships (with stipend) listed on Internshala free of cost. The platform will also organize workshops for students on Internship Preparation. The Colleges will be able to track their students’ performance in internships secured via Internshala.

APSSDC is a Corporation formed as a public private partnership to promote skill-development and entrepreneurship in Andhra Pradesh. APSSDC also serves the task of providing skilled manpower as part of Government of Andhra Pradesh’s skill mission.

Mr. K.V. Sathyanarayana, MD & CEO of APSSDC said, “Through this partnership we are looking to enhance the skills and competency of students across the state. Internships help students explore their field of interest and gain practical knowledge, it exposes the students to the corporate world, and develop their technical skills even before they graduate.”

“We are excited to partner with APSSDC to be a part of GoAP’s mission to skill over 10 million people by 2022 and the immense potential it holds for the youth in Andhra Pradesh. Internshala’s focus is to build a world full of opportunities for students and through this collaboration, we hope to help the youth to develop their skills and gain practical experience,” Sarvesh Agrawal, Founder & CEO, Internshala, said.

Internshala was founded in 2010 and provides internship opportunities to over 2 million students registered with it. Students can find internships in a diverse range of fields including engineering, management, applied arts, science, law, design, hotel management, architecture, and so forth.

In 2016-17, 400,000+ internships (across different streams) were listed on Internshala with average stipend of Rs. 7,500 per month. 40% of the internships also offered an option for interns to convert the internship into a full time employment upon completion and thus helping students with their job search as well. Both students and colleges can register themselves on Internshala for free.
