Samsung India and TASK launch Samsung Digital Academy in Hyderabad

Samsung India and Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) have been working together closely to further enhance skill development and employability of youth in Telangana State. As a continuation of many initiatives, on 14th June 2017, they inaugurated the Samsung Digital Academy in Hyderabad. The Academy was inaugurated by  Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of ITE&C and Industries , Government of Telangana in presence of Officers from Samsung India and Department of ITE&C.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Jayesh Ranjan -,IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of ITE&C and Industries, stressed on the need for youth to be skilled on new technologies that will help them in seeking more avenues in the current dynamic changing IT world and a course on TIZEN Operating System is one such opportunity.

Samsung Digital AcademyFollowing the inauguration a Faculty Orientation Programme was held at the newly inaugurated lab for Faculty from various Engineering Colleges in Telangana by the Samsung Technical Experts.

Mr. Sujiv Nair, Chief Executive Officer, TASK – Welcomed the members and shared that the establishment of this Samsung Digital Academy reflects enhanced skilling synergy between Samsung and the Government of Telangana. The youth who complete this course will be part of an exciting, new era in smart devices that will shape the future and improve their employability.

The Samsung Digital Academy has conceptualized the course curriculum for easy comprehension for a beginner in Application Development. The youth will be trained in Tizen OS platform including the Application Development Process, Testing and Debugging, Device Application Program Interface (APIs) as well as Packaging and Installation of Designed Applications on various devices.

Dr. Aloknath De, Sr. Vice President & Chief Technology Officer, Samsung R&D Institute, Bangalore said, “Samsung is happy to partner with TASK to create an inclusive environment to help young India leverage the growing digital technologies market and also reskill the mid-level or retired professionals. The course on Tizen would enable future and potential developers to use their app programming skills to develop quality apps and be part of Tizen app eco system. India is increasingly emerging as a key player in the development of next-generation technology ecosystems and Telangana is surely the destination for skill development mission from a digital perspective.”
