Augment Learners Skills Using Digital Certificates

The concept of gaining supplementary qualifications to maintain or advance your career is not new. Credibility in those qualifications is, however, rapidly shifting toward digitization.

As an institute, you wish to be considered reputable and as a student, you wish your credentials have an impact on your career. Both these goals are complementary and both will be achieved by using digital certificates issued by Certif-ID. So, start issuing digital certificates.

Why the change to digital certificates?

Since the COVID pandemic began, institutions have rapidly shifted to online teaching, changing the landscape of modern education.

As we move toward a digital-first style of learning, it’s essential that this shift from old methods be reflected in the way institutes recognise and reward academic achievements; just like when you’re shopping online, people need to receive an online payment acknowledgement! So educators and institutes adopting digital certificates can get the word out about their services and highlight their students’ skills in a new light.

We’re not talking about scanned documents with e-signatures or PDFs as digital certificates. We’re talking about using emerging technologies like Blockchain to issue a digital certificate. Why blockchain? Blockchain’s ability to secure data and transactions on a decentralised ledger makes digital certificates immutable, traceable and instantly verifiable.

Augment Learners Skills Using Digital Certificates

Blockchain technology secures digital certificates

Digital certificates based on blockchain technology have significant benefits over paper certificates and PDFs, they are:

  1. Immutable – Blockchain-based digital certificates are time-stamped and encrypted. This means that they are tamper-proof, safe from any alterations from anyone except for the issuing institute.
  2. Easily verifiable – Digital certificates containing a verifiable link or a QR code can be verified instantly, even when printed. This allows safety from counterfeits and frauds. And, will positively impact an institute’s brand image, enhancing trust and awareness.
  3. Shareable: Verifiable digital certificates can be shared confidently on social media and other platforms, without having to worry about someone misusing them.

Digitisation using blockchain makes your entire certification process transparent. In other words, the issuance, retraction, and reissue of certificates can never be altered by an outside party. So, you will have end-to-end control of your certificates even after issuing them.

Digital certificates an invaluable marketing asset

Digital certificates act as a marketing asset when shared with recruiters and other learning institutes. They will speak for your students as well as your institution as an undeniable testament of quality – transforming students into influencers.

In the long run, digitising your certificates on blockchain will support training, development and marketing activities in your educational institute. It will provide graduates with a chance to stand out from other candidates during the hiring process and help employers make faster and better decisions.

The role of Certif-ID in creating, issuing, and managing digital certificates

Certif-ID is a blockchain-based certification platform that is the one-size-fits-all solution for all your certification needs. They can be awarded to students and instructors of the institute upon completing tasks like attending a workshop or passing an exam.

Using Certif-ID, institutes can list their courses, create batches, add students, remotely issue certificates and track them from one single platform. Digitising the entire certification process will reduce the time and cost spent on printing, couriering, and verification of certificates.

To see how you can issue tamper-proof, easily verifiable certificates, we encourage you to book a demo with us.
