Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF), India’s premier institution offering a wide range of industry integrated programs at the Graduate and Post-Graduate level has recently reached a new milestone in their journey. NTTF signed a prestigious Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Open College Network (NOCN), which makes NTTF their approved centre/s to offer International Diploma. The MoU was signed in the presence of Mr. N. Reguraj, Managing Director (MD), NTTF and Mr. Graham Hasting-Evans, Group MD, NOCN.

NTTF is now NOCN approved Centre to offer International Diploma

NOCN has been pioneering vocational skills development and apprenticeships, including the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy in the UK. Being one of the UK’s largest awarding organisation in the construction sector, NOCN is working towards improving training in this sector. NOCN is an awarding and apprenticeship assessment organisation and Government-approved end-point assessment organisation for 30 years, based in the United Kingdom (UK), specializing in productivity.

How NTTF – NOCN approved International Diploma program works

The International Diploma certificate will be applicable in all the centres of NTTF. Students at NTTF can get Concurrent International Diploma along with Diploma in Tool Engineering and Digital Manufacturing, Diploma in Electronics and Embedded System, NTTF Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering and Smart Factory and Diploma in Computer Engineering and IT Infrastructure.

nttf-nocn_collaboration_certificateInternational Diploma offers a pathway to pursue a Bachelors’ degree in UK university along with an opportunity of a student visa. NOCN will also internationally accredit NTTF’s short-term certificate courses as well. This option is available for current students of NTTF and  also its Alumni. “ This could open up possibly  to go for higher education overseas for students after international Diploma”

The NOCN – NTTF collaboration will focus on working together on skills capacity development and on undertaking a benchmarking exercise of NTTF existing vocational diploma training programmes. Ensuring their qualifications attain an international standard provided by NOCN’s quality assurance, validation and certification service. The output of the project will enable students to be skilled and trained to an international standard and be job-ready for the International employment market. This will enhance their employability skills to secure sustainable work within India or overseas.

NTTF has always focussed on offering vocational training and education to the youth in India. It has gained support from the Central government of India and gained popularity among many State governments. It operates from 16 centres and delivers high standards of corporate and vocational training with an impressive industry-connect. With a sustained partnership with seven Sector Skill Councils (SSCs) and 60 job roles in multiple industries, NTTF has positively impacted thousands of youth and working professionals through ‘learn and earn’ and other models of work-integrated programs delivered in close collaboration with the industry.

We run skill training Centers in Mysore. We offer programs in Fashion design and interior design. They are NCVT certified programs and also programs certified by Sector skills council. How can we collaborate/partner or obtain consulting advise from NTTF.
We also run a few CBSE schools and we are trying to integrate skill development in 11th and 12th grades. Can we seek your help and if yes, How?

  • Technical skills may get you into a workplace. But what helps you navigate it?That was the conversation we explored last week at NSTI Women, Hyderabad, during our session on the human side of employability with the young CTS students. The students participated with enthusiasm and curiosity. A big thank you to Deputy Director Ms. Arulselvi for the warm welcome and for taking us through the institute.Walking through the practical classrooms and interacting with students and faculty gave us an immersive glimpse into the learning happening across areas such as Cosmetology, Architectural Draughtsman, Fashion Design Technology and AI & IoT.As we moved from one classroom to another, it was interesting to see the students and faculty at work and hear about their project goals and experiences. It also reinforced something we often talk about at NSN, technical learning and transferable skills cannot really be separated when we talk about employability. We left with plenty to think about, and hopefully, the students did too.#technicaltraining #employability #iti #skills #education #technology #ai
