Centre to train tribal jail inmates in traditional handicrafts: The centre has reached out to the Chhattisgarh government with a project to identify tribal inmates of jails and empower them with skills to produce designer tribal products.

The objective is to create an inclusive workforce who are fluent in automation technologies.

IOB trains 77,000 candidates under RSETI program: IOB has trained 77,000 candidates under its RSETI program. Anyone between the ages of 18-45 years, having a minimum educational qualification of 8th standard with a poor economic background can undertake the training.

IIW organizes International Welding Congress and Weld India 2020: IIW-India’s Mumbai Chapter is organizing 5th International Welding Congress and 13th Weld India Exhibition of the country from 6th February 2020 to 9th February 2020 in Navi Mumbai. 

UrbanClap collaborates with ESSCI: UrbanClap has signed an MoU with ESSCI to empower professionals. The objective of the partnership is to improve skills training services.

Jammu and Kashmir:

Jammu and Kashmir youth trained under ESDP: The government is providing training under the ESDP to build entrepreneurial culture in Jammu and Kashmir. A training program was conducted by the Technology Development Centre of the MSME.

7 million youth to be trained by 2021: 7 million Indian youth are going to be trained for green economy by the year 2021. GSDI has been launched by the Centre to achieve the same.

Karnataka: 

Initiative to empower students with hands-on experience: St. Francis college launched one-of-its-kind an Internship program to strengthen students’ professional future. The programme is for first year students to give them an opportunity to be a part of the professional environment during their course.

Kerala

IndiaSkills Kerala event to be held in Kozhikode: Kozhikode is going to host this year’s state-level IndiaSkills Kerala event. Winners of zonal-level skill assessment tests will be taking part in the three-day event. Read more…

Manipur

12 nurses to undergo three-year advanced training in Japan: 12 nurses from Manipur have been selected for a three-year internship programme of advanced healthcare skills in Japan. The internship program was taken up under TITP.

In collaboration with ASDC, we offer 10 courses. Out of which 6 are technical courses and 4 are administrative. Most of our students get placed as service advisors, because they come from B.Tech (Mechanical) background. All the courses are NSQF- compliant. – Viday Nambirajan, CEO, PABS

Punjab

Welfare and development initiatives for SAS Nagar: Punjab Chief Minister has announced a series of welfare and development initiatives to boost progress in SAhibzada Ajit Singh (SAS) Nagar district. Land has been identified and possession already handed over to the Department of Local Government for this purpose.

Telangana

MANUU organizes One-week Entrepreneurship Development Program: Maulana Azad National Urdu University has organized a one-week Entrepreneurship Development Program under PMYUVA. PMYUVA is run by MSDE in collaboration with ALEAP, Hyderabad.

Skill development training centre inaugurated: Akshara women skill development centre was inaugurated by the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs in Musheerabad Conventional Hall.
