Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship invites proposals from consultants for evaluating six schemes
As we know, MSDE was set up with an aim to fulfill the vision of Skill India. It will be responsible for coordination with all concerned for evolving an appropriate skill development framework. Accordingly, the National Policy on Skill Development and Entrepreneurship was notified on 15th July 2015 superseding the previous one, with the primary objective to meet the challenge of skilling at scale with speed, standard, and sustainability. It aims to provide an umbrella framework to all activities associated with skilling that are being carried out within the country, to align them to common standards and link skilling with demand centers.

As the National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has been structured as an outcome-oriented policy, it is, therefore, desirable that there should be regular monitoring and evaluation of the initiatives to ensure that the best practices can be scaled and corrective measures can be taken. The main idea of having a vigorous monitoring and evaluation mechanism of the Schemes being implemented by MSDE and its attached organizations is to ensure the successful implementation of the policy initiatives.

Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE)

The Ministry is responsible for co-ordination of all skill development efforts across the country, removal of disconnect between demand and supply of skilled manpower, building the vocational and technical training framework, skill up-gradation, building of new skills, and innovative thinking not only for existing jobs but also jobs that are to be created.  The Ministry aims to Skill on a large Scale with Speed and high Standards in order to achieve its vision of a ‘Skilled India’.
