Cooperation agreement between India and Denmark in renewable energy approved by the government: The central government approved an agreement between India and Denmark on strategic sector cooperation in the field of renewable energy with a focus on offshore wind energy and a letter of intent to establish an Indo-Danish Centre of Excellence for renewable energy in India.

Global Skills Challenge in Australia – Team India wins medals: At the 2019 Global Skills Challenge, the WorldSkills India Team won two silver and two bronze medals. Nidhin Prem got the silver in 3D Digital Game Art), Sumanth and Manjunatha Desurakara got silver in Mechatronics, Sanjoy Pramanik won a bronze in jewellery and Saurabh Baghel won bronze in Patisserie and Confectionery.

Blending of Education with Technology and Vocational Training by NSDC: At a summit, Senior Head – Industry Partnership, CSR Engagements, Media & Advocacy, NSDC mentioned how NSDC is blending education with technology and vocational training for cashing on the demographic dividend of India. He pointed out that the Indian education system has come a long way to become an education hub, and why it is important that the working labour force has a creative and productive focus.

Schools encouraging entrepreneurship through skill simulation: Over 3,000 schools across India have an Atal Tinkering Lab. The Lab is a government initiative to simulate skills in newer areas, which children can eventually take up to become entrepreneurs. This helps in exposing young minds to technology shifts that push them into lateral thinking than just rote learning.
