UDAY recently launched skill centre in Dindoshi, Mumbai as a part of their CSR Project with Omkar Foundation. This collaboration is expected to train 300 youth from the slum rehabilitation areas of Mumbai. The launch event witnessed the presence of Mr Venkat Rolla – CSR Head, Omkar Foundation and Mr Shailesh Waghmare – Business Head – Skills, UDAY.
UDAY and Omkar Foundation will be jointly responsible for mobilisation of candidates for the training program. The project includes setting up 5-6 training centres in the slum rehabilitation areas of Mumbai to provide free job-oriented skills training. The progress of trainees will be monitored on regular basis to provide need-based counselling the them.
The training also includes personality development sessions for the candidates. The trained and certified candidates will be provided full placement support and assistance through UDAY’s tie-ups and alliances with corporates and institutions.
