How often do we come across people who take pride in their profession? Not very often, right? But taking pride in one’s own work is one of the core qualities of a happy employee.
We interacted with few employees of Fronius India, who shared why they chose welding as their career and how proud they are to be in this field.
Thanks to advancements in technology, that has taken away most of the physical work and opportunities to learn new skills, reskill and upskill, welding is no longer considered a difficult job but is considered as one of the most aspirational career options with steady career growth.

“I am proud to be a welder”
Ashish Pandey
“Initially when I joined Fronius, I was like any other regular welder. But right now, I grew up to be an Application Engineer. In the last five years, I trained so many people. I can proudly say that I am a solution provider and not just a welder.”
Ketan Pujari
“Before joining Fronius, I considered welding to be a difficult job. After joining, I got an opportunity to work in a free environment, with constant learning and appreciation for my work. Today, I handle application support, training of the customer, demonstration of our welding machines, and supporting customers in solving their welding-related issues.”
Sridaran Eswaran
“When I initially got into this field of welding, it was considered a tough job as the technology was not much advanced. But with advanced Fronius systems, we can arrive at perfect welding joint. With the technology at Fronius, we can control and monitor the parameters, through various devices. I am proud to be working here.”

“I have a total of 22 years of experience in welding. I started my career with small-scale industries and now I am the Head – Technical Support, at Fronius India. When I joined this profession, I had no idea about the technological advancements in this field. After joining Fronius, I realized that more than 550 Engineers are working in the R&D department of Fronius and are continuously working towards developing new technology. I love what I do and I am proud to be in this field.”

There are many training and certification programmes to help you get into the industry through education, apprenticeships, and training.
