The CII Global Summit on Skill Development and Livelihood’s theme for this year isĀ “Forging Agile and Flexible Workforces: Bolstering Global Mobility of Skilled Talent.”

The summit aims to identify the emerging needs for new-age skill sets, examine the challenges associated with the workforce globally, and recognise international best practices, policy innovations, and replicable models that ethically support the global mobility of skilled talents.
Industry 4.0 and digitalization have increased the need to revamp existing skilling ecosystems and increase workforce competency. Furthermore, countries’ ageing populations have necessitated skilled workers’ global mobility. In this context, India has a one-of-a-kind opportunity to become a global talent powerhouse.Ā

The Global Summit will serve as a platform for prominent names from industry, academia, and policymaking to discuss strategies. Industry leaders, national and international subject matter experts, academics, spokespeople for think tanks and multilateral organizations, representatives of the federal and state governments, and ministers and delegations from several countries will all speak at the conference.
The 10th edition of theĀ CII-Wheebox India Skills Report 2023Ā will be published at the Summit. The India Skills Report 2023, which reaches over 300,000 students across the country and more than 150 corporations, maps the readiness of our present talent pool for new-age jobs and the skills that companies are currently looking for in prospective employees.
