NSN Presents Virtual Competition on Skills to Tackle Climate Change

This year’s World Youth Skills Day (WYSD) theme is particularly relevant and resonates deeply with us as conscious citizens. It emphasizes the crucial role young people play in peacebuilding efforts and contributing to a more sustainable future. The theme highlights the importance of equipping young people with the skills they need to address global challenges and make positive contributions to their communities. 

Are you passionate about climate change and eager to share your thoughts on how we can better equip the next generation with skills to care for our planet? This World Youth Skills Day (WYSD), we invite young minds to participate in our virtual competition on Skills to Tackle Climate Change!

Virtual Competition on Skills to Tackle Climate Change on the Occasion of WYSD

Climate change issues are demanding global attention! Global warming, untimely floods, overflowing rivers, and heat waves have made it increasingly difficult for lives to survive. According to data, a significant portion of youth feels that humanity has failed to care for the planet. Now, for this WYSD, we invite you to come forward and share your views and ideas on the skills and knowledge the next generation must be taught from an early age about climate care.

How to Participate:

  1. Record a video of yourself sharing your views and ideas on the topic.
  2. Ensure your video is clear and audible.
  3. If you speak in any other language than Hindi or English, please include subtitles in English
  4. The age limit for participants is 15-24 years.

Virtual Competition on Skills to Tackle Climate Change

Submission Guidelines:

  • Record your video only in horizontal (landscape) mode. Vertical videos will be disqualified.
  • The duration of the video should be 2-3 minutes. The time limit should be strictly followed.
  • Record the video in Hindi or English. Videos submitted in any other language should have English subtitles.
  • Before sharing the video, please name your video file properly. The file name should be YourName_Age_WYSD.
  • Please share the video file only in MP4 format.
  • Record your video with the maximum resolution available on your mobile device. Ensure the audio quality is good and there is no background disturbance.
  • The last date to submit your video is 10th July 2024. Entries submitted after the last date will be disqualified.
  • Please send your entries with the proper file naming to contestnsn@gmail.com 

Judging Criteria:

  1. Relevance to Topic: How well your ideas align with the theme of climate change awareness and skills and knowledge to tackle them.
  2. Creativity: Originality and creativity of your suggestions.
  3. Clarity: Clear and effective communication of your ideas.
  4. Language Proficiency: Proper use of language and inclusion of subtitles if necessary.
