National Skill Development Corporation’s (NSDC) subsidiary, NSDC International, has collaborated with one of India’s leading universities, Lamrin Tech Skill University (LTSU), an incubated skill university, to organise the first-of-its-kind International Kaushal Mahotsav in a hybrid mode to empower India’s youth by extending various prospects for international job opportunities across sectors.

Candidates interested in participating can register at the Kaushal Mahotsav, International || Candidate Portal (nsdcdigital.org), and the employers can register at Kaushal Mahotsav, International || Company Portal (nsdcdigital.org).

The initiative seeks to boost the profile and exposure of India’s young talent in international markets. With global talent mobility, India’s skilled workforce will be expanded to various other designated markets, providing significant job opportunities to the youth and propelling India’s economic progress by recognising its talent.

The International Kaushal Mahotsav will be organised in phases and will include a number of crucial aspects for the holistic development of the candidates, such as counselling, free screening, motivational sessions, candidate and employee registrations, language testing, trade testing, and mapping of prospective candidates for the program. Many foreign employers will participate in the International Kaushal Mahotsav, and registration is open to all interested candidates with any educational background.

According to Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC and MD of NSDC International, India has a long history of migration, and as globalisation changes the world, the Indian diaspora has undergone a remarkable change. Indian talent has become recognised in a variety of fields and significantly contributes to the success of global technology powerhouses. It is not exaggeration to say that Indians have ascended the corporate ladder around the world and have been crucial in establishing some of the most successful businesses around the world. Together with this, the challenge to churn talent has come with it an opportunity to provide youth with options that can help them find answers to their aspirations in distant lands.

Registrations open for India’s 1st international recruitment drive organised by NSDC International and LTSU

Taking this a step forward, we have collaborated with our partners LTSU to create this unique platform, International Kaushal Mahotsav, for employers and job seekers to provide access to India’s capable youth for meeting the best of international employers and encouraging placements in global markets. To ensure that the youth take full advantage of this world of opportunity, developing a future-ready workforce is essential, as it holds the key to an economically connected world. With this, NSDCI will keep implementing such initiatives for our youth population by reimagining the current approach and developing strong partnerships for international mobility, training the youth for the future of work, and revitalising the world economy.”

“India is known for providing skilled talent to various countries to help them address their market demands, and to further augment this progress, we are delighted to partner with NSDC International to support the growth of India’s youth,” said Dr. Sandeep Singh Kaura, Chancellor of LTSU and Advisor to NSDC International, in response to the development. Lamrin Tech Skills University is known for bridging the gap between technology and applied skills, addressing critical skill gaps, and developing global leaders. With our rich experience, I am certain that our collaboration with NSDCI to organise India’s first International Kaushal Mahotsav will provide several overseas job opportunities across sectors to our talented young minds, making them confident and capable for fulfilling their aspirations and matching the demands of the global industry.”

International employers from the USA, Canada, the UK, Europe, the Gulf Cooperation Council, Western and South Asia, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and East and South Asia will participate in the massive international recruitment drive to provide various job roles listed on the portal in industries like automation, logistics, production, electronics, apparel, tourism, healthcare, retail, hospitality, facility management, food & beverage, marine, agriculture & horticulture, and more.

To apply for the position, candidates must go through several rounds, including preliminary, final, and closing ceremonies, in order to receive an on-the-spot job offer letter. The candidates will receive pre-departure support after being selected. The hiring procedure will be ethical and transparent, and NSDC International will offer the candidates the required training in addition to services like counseling, certification in foreign languages, and post-placement support. According to a report, demand for Indian immigrants would increase across all sectors over the next five years, especially in the GCC, Europe, the USA, and Australia. To increase the incomes of the migrant worker, it is essential to move towards standard mechanisms for skill gap mapping and a global skill harmonisation framework.
