It’s no longer an act of few people carrying out philanthropic activities but is being increasingly seen as a medium of active cooperation between people, government and corporations. Just like that, skills development is also a dynamic concept. We need to evolve the public-private partnerships to better address the challenges of current society in terms of unemployment, generation of livelihood opportunity, enhancement of skills in disadvantage groups and develop various model of upskilling and livelihood. This can be learnt from one place to another and replicate with the help of CSR. This can only be done through Multi Stakeholder engagement with quality inputs, assistance from stakeholder and by sharing resources, building blocks on new / innovative models and adopting best practices.”

Bihar CSR Summit 2019
One of the representatives from CSR wing of IOCL said “We had a fruitful discussion with BSDM officials. We deeply appreciate their efforts to bring a new dimension to the whole gamut of CSR activities being undertaken by private entities in Bihar and beyond. We are currently running a CSR program in conjunction with IOCL Begusarai. But there’s lot of potential to grow. We suggested Bihar govt. and BSDM to create a central portal where we can get information on every governmental schemes at one place. We are also working with the government to create a central repository of students so that it becomes easy for us to choose our plans. Intervention for local support, easy mobilization and reducing duplicity of efforts are some of the other issues which need a relook. We are assured of a positive response and are expecting a major policy intervention in Bihar.”
