The global RPA market is expected to reach USD 10.7 billion by 2027.

With the increase in-demand for automation, the demand for skilled RPA professionals is also increasing. The blend of human and digital capabilities in RPA aims to create many new and exciting career possibilities. As per a report, as many as two lakh jobs in RPA would be created in India by the year 2021.

There has never been a better time to consider a career in RPA. Here are the three basic reasons why you should go for a career in RPA.

Top 3 reasons why to choose a career in RPA

Reason-01: Rapid adoption of RPA across various industries

RPA helps businesses automate their repeated manual tasks saving time, money as well as other valuable resources which will benefit the company in the long run. Driven by the benefits of the technology, many MNCs such as Accenture, IBM, Infosys, Deloitte, TCS, Capgemini and others are using RPA to ensure speed and accuracy. Today, even SMEs have started investing in RPA and moving towards automation. By the year 2022, 90% of large organizations globally will have adopted RPA. RPA will achieve “near universal adoption” in the next five years. The rapid adoption of technology is creating massive job opportunities for skilled professionals.

Reason 02: Demand supply gap in skilled manpower

Do not go by the rumors that  RPA will displace jobs. In fact, 52% of experts believe that RPA will create many new jobs by the year 2025. With the rapid adoption of RPA, companies are in need of skilled RPA professionals. As per NASSCOM, most of the global companies currently have a huge requirement of RPA professionals in India.

And not just a job, you would also get a handsome salary as the annual salaries of RPA developers ranges from Rs. 4 lakh to Rs. 11 lakh in India. The variation in salary mainly depends on three factors – location, experience and job role.

3 ReasonsReason 03: Easy to learn and implement

RPA is relatively easy to learn and implement. In RPA, there are many technical as well as non-technical job roles such as Process Designer, Automation Architect, Project Manager, Business Analyst, Process SME, RPA Developer among others to choose from. RPA technology is famed as low code/no code technology.

However, there are a few foundational skills such as problem-solving and analytical skills, knowledge of application development, API integration, data analytics that you need to learn to launch a career in RPA. And these skills are easy to master with the right kind of guidance. With the fundamental skills it is best for you to have a good knowledge in at least one of the most popular automation tools such as Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere among others.

How to build a career in RPA?

So, now when you know why you should build a career in RPA, you must be wondering where to start? Building the right skills and competencies should be your first step towards building a career in RPA. You should concentrate on building the fundamentals right starting with premium training in major RPA tools such as Blue Prism or Automation Anywhere.

There are various programs, certification resources available through hybrid learning format which includes online live interactive classes from Industry Experts and self learning content. You can participate in RPA competitions and hackathons which will help you gain hands-on experience.

These global certification programs cater to the next generation professionals. These certification programs will ensure that you are well-trained in RPA before entering the job market. Most of these proagrams also support placements in top companies.
