Currently providing 1.85 million direct jobs and an additional 30,000 indirect jobs, the AVGC industry is expected to create another 20 lakh jobs by 2030. This growth is fueled by the increasing demand for animation and visual effects in sectors such as video games, television, film, advertising, real estate, and more.

How to Build a Career in Animation and VFX:

  1. Develop Your Skills: To thrive in the Animation and VFX industry, you need a blend of technological proficiency and artistic skills. Start by honing your creativity, critical thinking, and storytelling abilities. Familiarize yourself with design and animation software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk Maya, Cinema 4D, and Blender.
  2. Pursue a Degree or Enroll in Any Program: While a formal degree is not always necessary, pursuing a degree or enrolling in specialized programs can provide you with structured education and valuable industry insights. Look for programs that offer courses in animation, visual effects, graphic design, and related fields. The average annual salary for a VFX artist in India is INR 3.4 lakhs for those with less than five years of experience. With zero to six years of experience, the average annual salary is INR 3.3 lakhs. Salary ranges vary depending on the job role and years of experience.
