Vocation in Vacation – A contest for school and college students
Skills form the core of every vocation. Skills are critical to our education and careers. We are dependent on skilled people in different walks of life. Get to know more about Skill India mission by meeting and interacting with several skilled people around you.

What you need to do
- Visit a shopping mall, a restaurant, an automobile workshop, a construction site, a hospital, a beauty parlour, a farm or a factory or a similar work place. Talk to the employees and employer to understand and appreciate their skills!
- Meet the skilled people, talk to them and understand their work. Or, try a skill you’ve always wanted to learn.
- Write a short story about it (300 words), or make a short video or a painting
Many prizes to win along with visibility for your talent!
Top 5 entries will receive the first prize of Rs.1000*each and next 10 entries will receive a second prize of Rs. 500* each along with certification of participation and appreciation. All shortlisted entries meeting our criteria will be featured on NSN website, newsletter and social media. (This is a cash prize)
