Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Minister of Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE and MOE), launched Artificial Intelligence (AI) for India 2.0, an innovative free online training program focused on AI on World Youth Skills’ Day, July 15th, 2023.
This joint effort between Skill India and GUVI is accredited by National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, aiming to equip young minds with cutting-edge skills.
During the launch event, Shri Pradhan emphasized the importance of breaking down language barriers in technology education. He advocated for the expansion of technology courses in various Indian languages, seeing it as a crucial step in empowering the youth, especially those residing in rural areas.
Highlighting India as a technology-savvy, the Minister pointed out the remarkable success of digital payment adoption in the country. He expressed great satisfaction in GUVI’s endeavor to educate the youth by imparting knowledge about advanced technologies.
Praising the initiative, Shri Pradhan envisioned a future where AI learning is easily accessible to every corner of the nation.
GUVI, an IIT Madras incubated startup, serves as the platform for tech learning in vernacular languages. The program is thoughtfully curated in nine different Indian languages, further enhancing its accessibility and impact.
